Matthew has always had an affinity for safety. With his background in technical production and design for Theatre, experience working in a variety of venues and fabrication shops, and via his OSHA training, he has weaved safety into his career and personal life.
He is a freelance scenic & lighting designer, Equity stage manager, and is on the faculty at Temple University, in Philadelphia, where he focuses on Design & Production courses. Matthew has worked in production capacities in almost every genre of performance in venues ranging from large halls, small spaces, and amphitheaters all across the nation and as far away as Chile. He has presented and paneled at regional and national conference on health, safety, and well-being. Samples of his work are seen at:

He is co-founded of Safe Makers - a safety and training consulting non-profit organization specializing in K-12 and higher education settings. Matthew is an OSHA Outreach Trainer.

He has roamed 48 of 50 states, over 25 countries, and four continents. His first love is his family, for whom "Means of Egrets" is dedicated.
Cory is an illustrator, director, scenic and costume designer currently located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has illustrated several children’s books including Wanda’s Wondrous Wetlands and Virginia Treasures by David Messick, and Back in My Arms and Sunshine and Stagelights by Cara Hendrickson.
Cory has directed numerous theatre productions at Centerstage Academy of Performing Arts in Yorktown, Virginia. He earned a M.Ed. in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, working with children with autism and families part-time, and is currently pursueing an MFA in Theater Design.
